After weeks of rain we finally had a Perfect Market Day
Lovely Sweet, Crunchy, Spicy Radishes
Oh so fragrant Stargazer Lilies
My favorite French Breakfast Radishes
Hanging Baskets everywhere
I love Berry Season, don't you?
Despite heavy rains Peonies are still available
Shortcake or cobbler anyone?
Zinnias and Snapdragons provide glorious color all summer long.
Yesterday was a Perfect Day in my neighborhood. I hope your day was perfect too.
Beautiful, gorgeous things there! It looks like one fine market! Sadly, I will have to wait until around July 1st for our farmer's markets to open here.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fabulous!! The fruit is mouth-watering.
ReplyDeleteLove your logo... Had to read it to my husband. He likes it too!! ;-)
Have a wonderful day.

Who needs a botanic garden when they have a farmers' market. I enjoyed ours as well. I went very early because of the predicted storms so didn't get the full effect. Flowers were just being put out as the rain started to come down. Thank goodness it was short lived.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Looks so nice! Your photos are beautiful. I would hang some of those in my kitchen:)
ReplyDeleteYou have the most incredibly beautiful Farmer's Market, Cathy! It looks like something you'd find in Europe. I think the rains you've had have made their way here - just in time for full bloom peony season, of course.
ReplyDeleteWhat a market! I am very envious.
ReplyDeleteWe had a beautiful day here yesterday - blue sky, 19 degrees and sunny. Woke up this morning to the old familiar sound of rain on the roof. I'm worried that the berries will be scarce this year if the sun doesn't come out more often.
Oh what I wouldn't GIVE to have those peonies!!! My radishes were lovely from my garden. And now I am going to have squash every which way!! Did you experiment any more with your ice cream machine? I will still get some recipes off to you. Been taking care of my poor husband, not much time lately. MY 3 yr. old grandson all week, then waiting on hubby all night and weekend. Nurse Bunny!!! Have a great day Cathy.
ReplyDeleteYou live in Paradise! What a bounty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
The radishes look gorgeous and so do the flowers.
ReplyDeleteohhh, I am so jealous! Everything looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love your market-day posts, Cathy! The radishes have me longing for my mother's radish salad. Guess I better dig out the recipe!
ReplyDeleteOh I am loving these farmer market posts! Keep them coming, they truly warm my heart!
ReplyDeleteIs this the perfection you get in Portland?
ReplyDeleteAlright then...when can I move in?
We still have quite a stretch to go before we get spoiled with anything resembling this wonderful produce.
Great of you to share it with us.
Flavourful wishes, Claudia
Amazing photos and the colours are so vibrant and stunning!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lia.
Oh Cathy, what a fun day at the market. I envy you those French breakfast radishes. Thank you for sharing market day with us!
ReplyDeleteI SO want to visit your market. It looks like an ABSOLUTELY perfect day!

I love how beautiful everything is at farmers markets! I'm so happy for you that you had a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great market and great photos too! Nothhing like that around here. Yes, I am envious! I do so love a good farmer's market. Really want some of those lovely yellow raspberries. What a bounty! Joni
ReplyDeleteYes, a perfect day indeed. Seeing the pictures reminds me of my visit a couple weeks ago, only in the drizzle. The zinnias are beautiful. So I see strawberries are starting. I really must get some for strawberry jam this year. Love, love Oregon berries.
ReplyDeleteI had those first flowers in my garden last year. The seeds were a gift from a fellow blogger. They are so pretty! Great market photos! ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos! Such beautiful flowers and those berries! Yum! I love your market day!
ReplyDeleteCathy, we had another perfect day here in Southern California, but no farmers market:( I am going to try to get some tomatoes, at least, at a farmers stand at San Juan Capistrano. I have been enjoying your blog for a while now, thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great day at the market! The berries look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI would blow my whole paycheck. I don't even know if I like radishes, but would have to buy them anyway cause they look great.
ReplyDeleteI want some of those white raspberries. Never had any before.
Cathy, look at all of that bounty! Everything looks so pretty. Love your header with the radishes, and I love the peonies! I wish we could grow them here. I also love all of those beautiful boxes of berries. YUM! I prefer blueberries most. Those are my favorites. Love all of that color for summer!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
