Tortillas and Eggs

My little grandson is under the weather today so has come to visit his Grandma. We've been playing "Go Fish," watching Sponge Bob Square Pants, and playing with cars on the pattern on the Oriental rug in the living room.  I'm sorry he isn't feeling chipper, but I love it when we can spend a few hours together and talk about life through his eyes.

We were ready for a little lunch so I scrambled some eggs and we used toasted tortilla wedges to scoop them up, perfect for a little tummy that is slightly out of order.  I added some salsa, grated cheese and sour cream to my eggs because my tummy is just fine.

Now it's time to wrap up in a snuggy blanket and have a little nap.

  9. I'm sorry he's not feeling well, but you are a lucky grandma to get to have his company for the day. And he is lucky to have you too!

I always gave my kids toast, with warm milk poured over it, topped with a poached egg and sprinkled with a little sugar. Does anyone do that anymore? Imagine my mother did it.

  11. Thanks to all for stopping by and for the good wishes for a speedy recovery for my sweet grandson.

Barbara - When I was little my mother made toast with warm milk and sugar when we were sick. It was so comforting. She always made custard too. Sweet memories.
