The summer growing season is over and the market is now filled with fall produce: squash, peppers, cauliflower, apples, mushrooms to name a few.
Pumpkins in every size, shape and color.
We know summer is over when the smell of roasting chilis fills the air.
I've made room in the freezer and I'm ready to stock up.

ReplyDeleteThe aromas of fall are definitely here. We had our first cold evening and some of our neighbors fired up their wood stoves and perfumed the air with the scent of madrone. Quite lovely.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I still can't believe I haven't made it to the Beaverton Farmer's market (on Saturday) yet this year... we have been so busy and on the go during the weekends all summer long. I will try very hard to come this Saturday - I want some of those roasted peppers.
